USA Personalized Postage

--> IMPORTANT UPDATE (June 29, 2020):  The US Postal Service has shut down the "personalized postage" program as of June 16, 2020.  As a result, no more new "PhotoStamps" (or other "personalized postage" products can be purchased in, and stamps.com has shut down their photostamps.com website.  HOWEVER, any existing "PhotoStamps" and other similar products are still valid for postage.

Given the new developments, I do hope to make some changes to the text below shortly.  Any spare PhotoStamps that I have are still available for sale, but please check with me first to make sure I still actually have them (the quantities listed are estimates, and this site does not track my inventory).

=====================================================================

Some general info on USA personalized postage:

Between 2004 and early 2018, there were 3 main companies (stamps.com, endicia.com & zazzle.com offering US "personalized postage stamps".  These were valid U.S. postage stamps that you could design (subject to certain limitations) and order in a variety of denominations for the various main postage rates that were in effect (postcards, first class and even priority mail) at the time that you ordered them.

Endicia.com (which sold the "PictureItPostage" product) was sold to stamps.com and Zazzle halted production of custom photo stamps in mid-2018 (while briefly offering them via stamps.com).

When you ordered custom postage stamps from photostamps.com, you were required to order at least one full sheet of stamps (there were 20 stamps per sheet).  For example, the standard price for a sheet of 50¢ stamps wass approx. $ 22.60 + postage.  Basically, you are spending over $25.00 for a sheet of stamps that had a face value of $10.00.

The high "vanity" prices of these stamps was fine for those people that will use them for various purposes as actual postage, but for the casual stamp collector who only wanted a single copy of these stamps for their collection, it could get to be expensive.

From 2004 to June 15, 2020, I had ordered personalized postage stamps from the various vendors for a variety of projects that I had been working on, however, I do have various quantities of left-over stamps.  While I can of course use these as postage, I thought I'd make them available to others.

Given the high cost of selling these on eBay, I have decided to offer my remaining stamps through this website, thus saving you money!

Below you will find the various personalized postage stamps which I have available (including quantities available).  If purchasing these, please do not enter more than the available quantity shown (as these quantities are manually updated by me).

Prices are based mostly on denominations. Generally the lower denominations (28¢, 44¢, etc) are fairly common, while the higher rates (for 2nd, 3rd, 4th ounce & priority mail rates) will be more difficult to find as fewer people ordered them (even I rarely ordered any beyond the first class rate).

If you want to order more than one of these, after clicking the PayPal "BuyNow" button, just go back and choose other stamps, PayPal should add all of these to your cart; when finished, go back to the cart and finalize the transaction.

Even if you are NOT ordering any, what you see below gives you an idea of what was possible to be ordered.   If there is no PayPal button for any of these stamps, it means that I no longer have that stamp available.

Note: All the stamps shown below are in "mint" (unused) condition and with full self-adhesive gum and are fully valid for the postage amount indicated.  Stamps from the "PhotoStamps" variety will be shipped directly on the original backing paper since there is sufficient room to cut between each stamp, however, any "YourStamps", "PictureItPostage" & "Zazzle" stamps will be sent on different backing paper since all stamps are physically next to each other on a sheet and can not be separated with the backing paper intact due to the "perforation" die-cutting.   Some of the stamps do not scan all that well, so please keep that in mind when viewing the illustrations below.  The real stamps are far superior than the scans shown below. The perforations on the real stamps are generally not visible when scanned, so I have added representative perforations around the stamps.

So far I have only had the chance to transfer 3 listings from my old site.  Please see the old site for further personalized postage stamps that are still available -->  https://photostamps.webs.com/

In 1986, fiberglass lions were installed all over the city of Zürich, Switzerland as part of the city's 2,000 year anniversary (the lion is the symbol of the city).

Usually the lions were free-standing, however, this one is incorporated into a public transportation ticket vending machine!  I took this picture in 1986 during a trip to Switzerland.

Fort Duvernette is located on the Caribbean island of St. Vincent.  The picture on the stamp I took in 1993.

I visited St. Vincent again in 2007, but unfortunately the fort was off-limits due to safety issues with falling rocks).
